Brock University has rejuvenated its dining landscape for Fall and Winter Term.
Dining Services at Brock has officially opened a Starbucks and newly renovated Tim Hortons while also launching all-access dining in refreshed residence dining halls.
“The current dining landscape on campus is a reflection of a multi-year plan that began with student and staff focus groups, university tours and surveys,” said Malcolm Dales, Director, Dining Services. “We’re excited to have our partner, Aramark, on campus as your culinary lead and look forward to welcoming students, faculty and staff back to our dining locations.”
The first fully licensed Starbucks on campus opened its doors in Guernsey Market on Aug. 16, followed by the newly renovated Tim Hortons on Sept. 7. Located at Hungry Badger in the Walker Sports Complex, the Tim Hortons features full breakfast and lunch menus.
The Tim Hortons app is available at both the Tower Tims and Hungry Badger locations, and gift cards are accepted at both sites. The Tim Hortons located in Thistle Complex is closed.
Meanwhile, the dining halls in Brock’s DeCew and Lowenberger Residences have undergone extensive renovations to bring fresh cooking to the forefront of the student experience.
Full of natural light, both dining halls have been remodelled to include new finishes with natural wood and stone aesthetic to represent the Niagara Escarpment, along with an overall colour palette reflective of Brock’s branding. In addition, a new layout features modern furniture and digital signage.
These infrastructure improvements paved the way to launch a new Dining Services all-access meal plan called the Fresh Food Company.
Led by Executive Chef Nick Paulino, the Fresh Food Company program consists of various fresh food stations maintained throughout the day, such as grill, entrée, international eats, deli and soup, salad, bakery, and hot and cold beverages.
The dynamic menu will focus on healthy, balanced meals and include a dedicated plant-based station for students seeking vegan or vegetarian options.
The DeCew Dining Hall also features a gluten-free kitchen to support specific dietary needs. The kitchen is open only by student card tap access to avoid cross-contamination and create a safe space for students navigating dietary concerns on campus.
Daily on-site student support is also provided by Registered Dietitian Yvanna Mesić.
Due to University and public health guidelines, Residence Dining Halls are currently only open to Residence Meal Plan members.

In addition to the expansion of Brock’s Dining Services program, the Brock University Students’ Union (BUSU) has added CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice to the array of campus options. Located on the main floor of the Brock University Library, CoCo Fresh Tea offers a range of bubble, fresh fruit, milk and chocolate teas and brews Starbucks beverages.
CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice is slated to open Monday, Sept. 13 alongside the return of Union Station and Isaac’s Bar and Grill.
Union Station now features brightly coloured murals on its walls after renovations at Harvey’s and Subway. The space also includes Union Greens, Booster Juice, Burrito Boyz and Ah-So Sushi.
The lounge area of Isaac’s reopens for indoor dining on Sept. 13. The eatery’s bar has been updated with a fresh look of new wood panelling and features more television screens.
Diners can access menus via a QR code on their mobile device or call ahead to place an order. Menus are available at brockbusu.ca/isaacs
