Virtual Convocation portal open to all

Brock University’s 109th Convocation went live as an online portal Friday, June 18, with nearly 3,300 students having their degrees conferred.

In 48 countries around the world, thousands of Brock students, their friends and families viewed the Convocation portal, including keynote addresses from Brock University President Gervan Fearon and Chancellor Hilary Pearson, along with video messages and greetings from student leaders, Deans and others.

New this year was a Celebration Wall, where grads, family, friends, faculty, staff and the wider community could post messages and photos of congratulations to the Class of 2021. To date, more than 440 messages have been posted and the Wall has been visited more than 8,400 times.

The wider Brock community is now invited to join the Class of 2021 in taking in the Spring Convocation experience as the Convocation portal is now open for all.

The link above will take viewers to a random Faculty’s experience under the name Isaac Brock. Each of the 3,300 graduating students had their own personalized experience Friday, depending on their Faculty and type of degree.

For example, an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Social Sciences would see a welcome greeting from Dean Ingrid Makus and Brock University Students’ Union President Rafay Rehan, whereas a Mathematics and Science graduate student would see a welcome from Dean Ejaz Ahmed, Graduate Studies Dean Suzanne Curtin and Graduate Students’ Association President Christopher Yendt.

Guests visiting the Convocation portal using the links below can select which ‘experience’ they would like to visit under the name Isaac Brock.
