Webinar aims to stop people from sabotaging their own success

Have you ever broken a New Year’s resolution, hit a plateau, procrastinated, experienced fears and doubts, or sabotaged your progress towards your goal? If so, you’re not alone, says Mariola Czarniak (BBA ’07, MBA ’19).

The Founder of the Maximum Results Academy will talk about reasons behind these self-sabotaging behaviours during a webinar Wednesday, March 10 at 11 a.m.

The online event is part of the free Business Breathers series facilitated by Goodman Group, the Goodman School of Business’s community-focused learning and development services provider.

“Relying on self-discipline alone is one of the worst ways to follow through with our commitments,” Czarniak says. “If you don’t condition your mind for the results you want, your mind will get you the results you may not want.”

The talk titled “The Pushback Reflex — How to get out of your mind and stop sabotaging yourself” will discuss how subconscious programming happens and affects performance.

Through the session, participants will uncover blind spots that have been holding them back from performing at top levels, while also learning where their subconscious identity is impacting results.

Czarniak is a TEDx speaker and success coach who has expertise in success philosophy, human behaviour, the subconscious mind and high-performance tactics. She has worked with business leaders, professionals, athletes, best-selling authors and organizations around the world to help them raise their performance to the next level of excellence.

Everyone is welcome to attend Business Breathers webinars, which feature 30 minutes of industry and faculty expert-led discussions, followed by a 15-minute Q&A period. Topics focus on leadership, management and innovation as well as the financial and social impacts of trending topics.

Interested participants are asked to register online. A confirmation email will provide a link to access the webinar at the date and time of the event.
