Special Brock News series to mark pandemic anniversary

The Brock News will mark the one-year COVID-19 anniversary with a special series of articles on Friday, March 12.

While the stories will be posted and available on Friday, Brock News subscribers will see the series appear in their email inboxes Saturday, March 13 — exactly one year since Brock University made the decision to suspend in-person classes.

The series will include reflections on the University’s response to COVID-19, the challenges students, staff and faculty faced with quickly pivoting to online learning, remote work and reduced research capacity, and the cancellation of athletics and recreation programs.

The University’s flags will be lowered to half-mast from Friday, March 12 to Sunday, March 14 to honour the memory of those who lost their lives to COVID-19.
