Thesis defences — Feb. 17 to Feb. 19

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place virtually from Wednesday, Feb. 17 to Friday, Feb. 19.

Applied Disability Studies Master of Arts thesis defence

Kaitlyn Young, a Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies candidate, will defend her thesis “Examining the Strengths, Experiences, and Needs of Canadian Post-Secondary Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Pilot Study” on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. via video conference.

The examination committee includes Dawn Zinga, Chair; Rosemary Condillac, Supervisor and Graduate Program Director; Carly McMorris, External Examiner (Assistant Professor, Werklund School of Education, University of Calgary); and Priscilla Burnham Riosa and Nicole Luke, Committee Members.

Psychology PhD thesis defence

Kari Lustig, a PhD candidate in Psychology will defend her thesis “The Interaction of Sleep and Hormones on Emotion Functioning” on Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee includes Brian Roy, Chair; Kimberly Cote, Supervisor; Mary Carskadon, External Examiner (Brown University); Erin Panda, Internal Examiner; and Karen Arnell and Cheryl McCormick, Advisory Committee Members.
