Service welcomes those experiencing pain, grief during holiday season

All members of the Brock community are invited to a virtual service meant to allow for reflection on the loss, grief and disappointment experienced by many in 2020.

Hosted by Brock’s Faith and Life team, the Blue Christmas Service will take place Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 12:30 to 1 p.m. on Microsoft Teams.

Campus Chaplain Zack De Bruyne said the service will create a safe virtual space for all participants.

“During a holiday season when we are almost expected to be joyful, we want to acknowledge the pain that many have experienced at a time when we are not typically invited to grieve,” he said.

The service is open to everyone and will be grounded in the Judeo-Christian scriptures.

To RSVP, please visit the service’s ExperienceBU page.
