Flu shots still available for Brock students, employees

Brock students, faculty and staff are encouraged to get their flu shots this season to help protect themselves and the community.

Student Health Services has been busy this flu season vaccinating students at the flu shot clinic at Market Hall. Student Wellness and Accessibility Services ran four vaccination days at Market Hall in November, vaccinating 90 students. Nurses have also been seeing patients at Harrison Hall, vaccinating an additional 55 students.

Along with getting the flu vaccination, the Brock community is reminded to practise other measures to ward off the flu, including washing their hands and staying home if feeling unwell. These measures, in addition to wearing a mask and practising physical distancing, will help to prevent both the flu and COVID-19.

Students who still need their flu shot can call the immunization nurse at 289-968-9838 or email immunizationRN@brocku.ca to book an appointment.

The Campus Pharmacy is also offering flu shots to students and employees; however, they are currently working off of a waiting list. Those interesting in being put on the waiting list for the flu shot can call 905-688-8800.
