Webinar explores youth sports and recreation programming during pandemic

An upcoming Centre for Sport Capacity webinar will examine the programming decisions and adjustments made by youth sport and recreation organizations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pivoting Youth Sport and Recreation Programming in the Wake of COVID-19: Recommendations and Resources will take place virtually Wednesday, Nov. 25 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and will welcome any interested participants from the Brock community.

As part of the Centre for Sport Capacity’s Webinar Series, the online event will feature a panel discussion and aims to provide recommendations and resources for all stakeholders that can help with program planning, implementation and evaluation.

Panelists Corliss Bean, Assistant Professor in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies, Harry Bell, Regional Manager Hamilton-Niagara and Southwestern Ontario at Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, and Erin Graybiel, General Manager of Day Camp and Youth Outreach for the YMCA of Niagara, will each speak about their implementation and evaluation strategies while also fielding questions from the audience during and after the talk.
