Women In Leadership to explore Brock’s community engagement strategy

Community engagement has become a vital part of Brock University’s identity and supports the institutional strategic priority to enhance the life and vitality of our local region and beyond.

Brock’s new Community Engagement Strategic Plan builds on a strong history of community engagement by faculty, researchers, staff and women in leadership roles from across the University.

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, Julie Rorison, Manager of Community Relations, will discuss ways women in leadership positions can continue to build a culture of engagement at Brock, and talk about her own experience bridging the worlds of community, academia and municipal politics.

Rorison recently received the Outstanding Young Alumni Award from Brock in recognition of her community service and support of emerging leaders in Niagara.

Women In Leadership aims to support women in formal and informal leadership positions and encourage the next generation of potential women leaders. All women and allies are invited to attend the monthly virtual meetings.

When: Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Where: Via Microsoft Teams. Click here for details and instructions to join.
