Brock Campus Security is advising students to be extra cautious when subletting their off-campus accommodations.

Some students are choosing to move home for the Winter Term and Campus Security has been made aware of incidents where scammers are submitting a forged Brock document to acquire students’ accommodations.

Students are asked to be extra vigilant when subletting housing to people unknown to them. It is important to verify all details before engaging in any type of financial transactions with the other party.

Please report any suspicious emails, documents or activities to authorities. Additionally, if a student receives a fraudulent document claiming to be from Brock, please notify the relevant Brock department and Campus Security at 905-688-5550 x3200.
