Brock has seen an increase of phishing scams, which highlights the urgency for greater cyber security protection.
In these phishing attacks, scammers pose as service providers attempting to change specific banking information. Staff, faculty and students are urged to stay aware and not engage in any suspicious emails. Contact itsecurity@brocku.ca to report any suspicious emails.
To defend against these continuous threats, Brock is requiring all members of the University community to enrol in MFA to avoid any cyber security attacks on their individual accounts and on the University.
To enrol in MFA, employees and students should go through the on-boarding process by selecting one of these authentication methods and following the setup steps found on the ITS website. MFA will begin on the user’s account within 24 hours after enrolling.
For more information, visit Brock’s MFA website or watch the MFA video.
