Women in Leadership meeting to focus on intimate partner violence

The disruption caused by COVID-19 has affected everyone, but for women experiencing violence in their homes, the social isolation imposed by the pandemic has created dangerous living situations.

Nicole Regehr, Director of Development and Violence Prevention Programs at Gillian’s Place, is joining Brock University’s Women in Leadership series Wednesday, Aug. 12 to speak about intimate partner violence and how to recognize the signs and respond appropriately in the workplace.

As some employees return to various workplaces, it’s important to understand how to access supports for personal safety as well as for colleagues.

All women and allies are invited to attend the monthly virtual meetings of Women In Leadership, a group that aims to support women in formal and informal leadership positions and encourage the next generation of potential women leaders.

When: Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Where: via Microsoft Teams. Click here for more details.
