The official website of the Brock Badgers relaunched with a new look on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
Brock Sports worked with SIDEARM Sports, the industry leader in university athletics website development, to bring Badgers fans a fresh layout and new design full of features.
The new website serves as the hub of all things Brock Sports.
“We know that now, more than ever, keeping our student-athletes well-informed is critical,” said Brock Sports Associate Director Emily Allan. “Not only does this new GoBadgers.ca serve as a crucial communication tool for them, it provides a modern and multimedia-focused destination for the Brock community and beyond to hear about the fantastic things our student-athletes are doing.”
The new design is the result of months of planning and design work.
“Evaluating the need for a new website began last fall as it became clear that the current platform no longer supported the needs of Brock Sports,” said Kate Dudley, Manager of Marketing for Ancillary Services and Students. “The new website allows for a greater cross-section of content to be showcased as we continue to grow engagement and outreach to our Brock Badgers community- fans, alumni, athletes, parents, partners and future Badgers.”
With easy-to-use menus, users have full access to the latest news, enhanced rosters, coach bios, schedules, results, recaps, photos and stats to provide comprehensive coverage of Brock’s 33 varsity and club teams.
The new responsive platform will allow mobile users to experience gobadgers.ca with the same features and information, including forms and manuals.
A new media section provides Badgers fans with photos, videos and a robust volume of social media content.
“University sport is constantly evolving, so it’s important for our online presence to also stay up-to-date and relevant,” said Allan. “This website is extremely visual, but is also packed with helpful information for our students-athletes, fans and the community.”
New stories, photos and pages will be added and updated to gobadgers.ca in the upcoming months.
“There is no time like the present to improve digital platforms and identify opportunities for growing the Badgers brand,” said Dudley. “We are excited about the launch of the new website and look forward to continuing to tell the stories of our Brock Badgers.”
