Brock’s Campus Store gearing up for Fall Term

As the University adapts the delivery of education this fall to a primarily online model, the Campus Store has been working to improve the support it provides to the Brock community.

The Campus Store will remain open online this upcoming Fall Term to service the needs of its customers, focusing on ensuring students have access to required course material that can be delivered right to their doorstep or picked up curbside.

“We are working with our partners across campus to ensure that we are ready for the students this Fall,” said Nick Fabiano, Associate Director, Campus Store. “This includes required course materials and tool kits for lab-based programs. Like many industries, we are seeing impacts to supply chains, so it is vital that we are placing orders in June and early July, allowing time to procure the most affordable formats for students in September.”

New this fall is the improved delivery of electronic books. Students will now be able to purchase their access code and receive immediate access to their course materials.

For customers who are looking for traditional hard copy formats, the Campus Store will continue to offer discounts on shipping throughout the summer and fall months. Details of a curbside or safe in-store pick up will be released leading into the Fall Term.

“We have been monitoring our timing on door to door delivery and are seeing an average of three business days,” said Fabiano. “This positions us well against competitors.”

In mid-July, the Campus Store will be launching a new website that focuses on improving the customer experience while shopping online. Faculty members looking to place orders for Fall Term course material are asked to fill out an online adoption form at their earliest convenience.

The Fall 2020 booklist will be available for students to purchase course materials beginning mid- August on the Campus Store website.
