Thesis defences — Jan. 6 to Jan. 10

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place at Brock from Friday, Jan. 6 to Friday, Jan. 10.

All are open for the University community to attend.

Master of Child and Youth Studies thesis defence

Nicole Staite, a master of Child and Youth Studies student, will defend the thesis “Dance with a B-E-A-T: Recreational Dance with Behavioral Analysis and Therapy for Children and Youth with Exceptionalities” Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. in Plaza 600F.

The examination committee includes Dawn Zinga, Chair; Tricia Vause, Supervisor; Jae Patterson, External Examiner (Associate Professor, Kinesiology, Brock University); Shauna Pomerantz, Graduate Program Director; Maureen Connolly, Committee Member and Ayda Tekok-Kilic, Committee Member.

Master of Applied Disability Studies thesis defence

Brittany Davy, a master of Applied Disability Studies student, will defend the thesis “Beyond Displacement: Understanding the Intersection of Cultural Variables on Mental Health Service Utilization Among Newcomers” on Friday, Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. in WH 147.

The examination committee includes Dawn Zinga, Chair; Priscilla Burnham Riosa, Supervisor; Madelyn Law, External Examiner (Associate Vice-Provost Teaching and Learning and Associate Professor, Health Sciences, Brock University); Maurice Feldman, Graduate Program Director; Maureen Connolly, Committee Member and Frances Owen, Committee Member.
