Brock Cares volunteer Jana Bataineh made floral arrangements during the Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre’s Welcome Back Garden Party.More than 150 Brock student, staff and faculty volunteers took part in the University’s 11th annual Brock Cares Day of Service Saturday, Sept. 7.
The initiative paired participants with 12 organizations in four Niagara municipalities, where they painted, cleaned, staffed booths and offered assistance in any way they could.
Students will have the chance to learn more about volunteer opportunities in the Niagara region at VolunteerFest on Thursday, Sept. 12. The vendor-style event will take place in Market Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature nearly 50 local organizations in need of volunteers.
