New scan-and-deliver service available through Brock Library

The Brock Library is making it easier for the Brock community to complete assignments and conduct research wherever they are located.

A new scan-and-deliver service takes requests for articles from print journals and chapters from print books and delivers them to emails as PDF scans.

The service is available free of charge to current Brock students, staff and faculty members. Scans are guaranteed to be delivered within two business days.

While an increasing number of books are available online, not everything is digital.

Monica Rettig, Head of Access Services for the Brock Library, hopes the value-added service will make it more convenient for the Brock community to use the Library’s rich trove of print holdings.

“We’re always looking for opportunities to make scholarly information more accessible and available,” she said. “We hope the service will be especially useful to faculty researching off-site or students studying at a distance. Feedback thus far has been great.”

Visit the Brock Library’s website to make a scan and deliver request.
