Rescheduled Grad Send-off quickly approaching for senior students

Time is running out for senior Brock students to register for Grad Send-off 2.0 on Monday, March 4.

The expo-style event, to be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in Ian Beddis Gymnasium, was rescheduled after an ice storm hit Niagara earlier this month.

Hosted by the Brock University Alumni Association (BUAA) and Co-op, Career and Experiential Education (CCEE), the event will give students the unique opportunity to network with employers from their fields of interest, update their LinkedIn profile with a free headshot, have their resumés reviewed, and learn about the many social and financial benefits of being a Brock graduate.

“Grad Send-off celebrates the achievements of our soon-to-be Brock alumni while giving them the unique opportunity to connect with employers face-to-face,” says Christine Richard, Alumni Engagement Officer, Alumni Relations. “We are committed to ensuring students have the resources they need to navigate their career path after Convocation, and Grad Send-off helps them put their best foot forward before they walk across the stage.”

The event is free to attend and open to all senior graduate and undergraduate students in their third year or above. Students are welcome to attend any time during the two-hour window and are encouraged to bring their student ID card for faster entry.

The Annual Fund will be collecting donations at the event to support student mental health initiatives on campus.

Senior students can register for the 2019 Grad Send-off through Eventbrite.
