Presenters needed for Experiential Education showcase

Brock faculty, staff, instructors and students are invited to participate in the University’s upcoming Experiential Education showcase.

Hosted by the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation and Brock’s Co-op, Career and Experiential Education team, the March 19 event will run from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in Market Hall. During the half-day gathering, participants will learn about the wide variety of innovative course-based experiential education activities taking place throughout the University.

The showcase also serves as a key portion of Brock’s National Co-op and Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Week celebrations, which run from March 18 to 22 and allow students to show pride in their programs while also providing information for those who are thinking of pursuing co-op or experiential studies.

Along with a range of presentations from Brock community members, this year’s showcase includes three information sessions for faculty and instructors who want to apply for teaching and learning grant funding to incorporate experiential education into a new or existing course; design reflection-based activities and assessments; and partner with the 2021 Canada Summer Games to build Games-based learning activities or assignments into course work.

Faculty and instructors are invited to submit their proposals for poster, digital poster or experiential snapshot presentations until Friday, Feb. 22.

Those interested in submitting proposals are asked to visit the Experiential Education Showcase website for further guidelines.
