United States Federal Reserve economist to speak at Brock

A senior economist in monetary affairs from the Federal Reserve — the central bank of the United States — will be speaking at Goodman School of Business this week.

As part of the Luncheon Speaker Series, Olesya Grishchenko, from the Board of Governors of the U.S. Federal Reserve System, will present her co-authored paper “Gauging the sentiment of Federal Open Market Committee communications through the eyes of the financial press” on Friday, Jan. 18.

The speaker series provides an informal opportunity to listen to and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with international business colleagues.

The talk will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Goodman School of Business Room 205. Goodman faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to attend.

Brock community members interested in attending the talk can email Jennifer Brisson at jbrisson@brocku.ca to reserve a seat.
