Frost Week features on-campus ice skating

Don’t be surprised if you hear people talking about figure eights, glides and spins next week.

Beginning Monday, Isaac’s Bar and Grill will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring an indoor synthetic ice rink, games and free hot chocolate. The winter-themed celebration will kick off this year’s Frost Week, a week-long student orientation event.

Public skating will be available Monday, Jan. 14 and Tuesday, Jan. 15 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Isaac’s. Participants can bring their own skates or rent them for free.

Other Frost Week activities include a day trip to Niagara Falls, a vendor and clubs fair, Dirty Bingo hosted by drag entertainer Vanity A La Mode, free yoga, DJ Junaid spinning rap and hip-hop music at Isaac’s OVO Night, a video game tournament, a social justice open house and an Icewine wine tour and tasting in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
