In addition to honouring staff service award winners and employees with long-standing service, the President’s Holiday Celebration is an annual event recognizing all Brock faculty and staff for their dedication throughout the year. Faculty and staff are reminded the President’s Holiday Celebration is quickly approaching on Monday, Dec. 10.
About 400 employees are expected to attend the annual event that celebrates the accomplishments of all Brock faculty and staff.
The festivities kick off at 2 p.m. in Market Hall with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, desserts and refreshments, followed by remarks from President Gervan Fearon and the presentation of staff service awards at 2:30 p.m. RSVP is not required.
Recipients of the President’s Distinguished Staff Service Award for Outstanding Contributions and the Human Resources Distinguished Staff Service Award for Leadership will receive a certificate of recognition and a $500 cash reward.
Employees who have reached 25-, 35- and — for the first time in the University’s history — 50-year milestones will also be honoured. Peter Barclay retired last month as the longest-serving ongoing Brock employee in the history of the University.
