Thesis defences — Sept. 4 to 7

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place at Brock from Sept. 4 to 7.

All are open for the University community to attend.

Health Sciences MSc thesis defence

Faculty of Applied Health Sciences student Danja Den Hartogh will defend the thesis “Influence of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling on mast cell differentiation and histone acetylation modifiers” on Tuesday, Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Walker Complex 203.

The examination committee members are Adam MacNeil, Supervisor; Lori McNeil and Hui Di Wang, Advisory Committee; Robert Carlone, External Examiner (Brock University); and Evangelia Tsiani, Chair.

Biological Sciences PhD thesis defence

Biological Sciences PhD candidate Jonathan Simone will present his thesis defence by video conference on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 11:30 a.m. in Welch Hall 147.

His thesis is titled Endocannabinoid Regulation of Adolescent Development in Male and Female Rats.

His examination committee members are Litsa Tsiani, Chair; Linda Parker, External Examiner, (University of Guelph); Cheryl McCormick, Supervisor; Stephen Emrich, Internal Examiner; and Robert Carlone and Joffre Mercier, Committee Members.
