Thesis defences — July 23 to 27

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place at Brock from July 23 to 27.

All are open for the University community to attend.

Geography MA thesis defence

Geography student Adam Fischer will defend the thesis, “A Domestic Geography of Money: How Mortgage Debt, Home Prices, and Toronto’s Condominiums ‘Prop up’ the Canadian Economy,” on Tuesday, July 24 at noon in MC C407.

The examination committee includes Dawn Zinga, Chair; Alan Walks, External Examiner (University of Toronto, Mississauga); Philip Mackintosh, Supervisor; and Christopher Fullerton and Jeffrey Boggs, Committee Members.

PhD in Educational Studies Dissertation Defence

Education student Kristen Clarke will defend the Dissertation “Informal Teacher Leaders: Secondary School Teachers’ Perceptions of How They Collaboratively Construct and Implement Classroom Assessment Policy and Practice” on Thursday, July 26 at 10 a.m. in WH 147. 

The examination committee includes Donato Tarulli, Chair; Christopher DeLuca, External Examiner (Queen’s University); Maureen Connolly, Internal Examiner; Denise Armstrong, Supervisor; Louis Volante, Committee Member; and Wayne Melville, Committee Member (Lakehead University).
