Electrical shutdown Friday night

A scheduled electrical shutdown for parts of Brock University will start Friday evening.

Facilities Management says the annual electrical shutdown will allow for repairs and preventative maintenance on the electrical infrastructure. It will take place from Friday, May 11 at 10 p.m. until Saturday, May 12 at 10 a.m.

The buildings affected by this shutdown include:

  • Welch Hall
  • Scotiabank Hall
  • South Block
  • Walker Complex
  • Taro Hall
  • Student Alumni Centre
  • Plaza Building
  • Lowenberger Residence
  • Village Residence
  • Kenmore Centre
  • Harrison Hall
  • Theal House
  • D Lot Parking Kiosk

If you’re located within one of these areas, please ensure computers and related equipment are completely powered down and remove any perishable items from refrigerators and freezers before leaving on Friday.

During the shutdown, access to the impacted areas will be restricted to Facilities Management only.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this work, please contact Scott Kernicky, Manager of Electrical Services at x6201 or Facilities Management Customer Service at x3717.
