Robyn Bourgeois, Assistant Professor in Brock’s Centre for Women’s and Gender Studies, will give a public talk and reading at the launch of Keetsahnak: Our Missing and Murdered Indigenous Sisters in Toronto this week.

The book, released this month by the University of Alberta Press, features academic and non-academic writing about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls in Canada. Bourgeois, a leading scholarly expert and survivor of violence herself, contributed a chapter entitled, “Generations of Genocide: The Historical Context of MMIWG.”

Bourgeois, along with other contributors, will present a panel discussion and engage in a Q&A session with the audience before signing copies of the book.
