The Canadian Mental Health Association is looking for volunteers from Brock to join its Niagara Ride Don’t Hide event committee.
The Ride Don’t Hide event, which aims to put an end to the stigma of mental illness while raising funds for mental health programs, will take place at Brock on Sunday, June 24, with participants completing bike rides of five, 15 or 25 kilometres.
In the coming months, committee volunteers will help with three different working groups focused on sponsorship, rider and team recruitment, and promotions and community engagement. In addition to working within the group they are a part of, volunteers will also contribute to the overall planning of the event, including decision-making and brainstorming sessions.
Committee meetings are typically scheduled in the evenings, based on the availability of members.
Those interested in joining the committee are invited to email Kaitlyn Daw at kdaw@cmhaniagara.ca to learn more.
