After sharing the spotlight with local musicians in recent performances, the Walker String Quartet take the stage for a solo show Tuesday, March 6 as part of the RBC Foundation Music@Noon Recital Series.
The noon performance will take place in the Cairns Recital Hall at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
The Department of Music’s quartet in residence, the group exists thanks to a generous endowment from the late Marilyn I. Walker. The Walker String Quartet gives prominence to the department through public performance and working with students in high school string programs to share in the joy of music and promote Brock’s music program.
Quartet members include Anna Hughes (second violin), Faith Lau (viola), and Brock Music instructors Vera Alexeeva (first violin) and Gordon Cleland (cello).
