Drop-in sessions to address student finance questions

Student Accounts and Financial Aid is hosting a series of events to help improve financial literacy on campus.

Weekly FinTip$ Tue$days sessions will aim to answer key financial questions often asked by students.

The sessions take place Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m. in TH 240, 1 to 2 p.m. in WH 207 and 2 to 3 p.m. in TH 246. While each date focuses on a different financial topic, student finance-related questions of any kind are welcomed at each session.

Upcoming dates include:

March 13: How to finance Spring/Summer study periods.

Students registered or planning to register for 2018 Spring/Summer courses can attend any of the three sessions held throughout the day to learn about OSAP funding for Spring/Summer. Student financial service officers and student service advisors will be available to answer questions about application logistics, full-time and part-time student status and course load changes.

March 20: Jump $tart financial health for next fall.

Drop-in sessions will focus on summer employment, affordable housing, reworking budgets, external scholarships, Brock OneApp, OSAP and managing student debt.

March 27:  Graduating this year with OSAP loans or other loans?

Drop-in sessions will focus on what students need to know and do to be ready to start repaying loans to the National Student Loan Service Centre or another lender following graduation.
