Thesis defences — Feb. 20 to 26

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place at Brock from Feb. 20 to 26.

All are open for the University community to attend.

 

Social Justice and Equity Studies MA thesis defence 

Social Justice and Equity Studies student MJ Deschamps, will defend the thesis, “Care amidst the condos? Understanding gentrification’s unjust impact on social and health service delivery to vulnerable populations in Ottawa, ON,” on Friday, Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. in STH 456.

The examination committee includes Michael Ashton, chair; Robert Wilton, external examiner (McMaster University); Ebru Ustundag, supervisor; and Mary-Beth Raddon and Mike Ripmeester, committee members.

 

Biotechnology MSc thesis defence 

Centre for Biotechnology student Robert Baldwin will defend his Master of Science thesis, “Development of a transcritome-based genome assembly tools and whole genome sequencing analysis for autism spectrum disorders,” by video conference Monday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. in Welch Hall 147.

The examination committee includes Cheryl McCormick, chair; Andrew Doxey, external examiner (University of Waterloo); Ping Liang, supervisor; Fiona Hunter and Dr. Feng Li, committee members.
