Thesis defences — Feb. 12 to 16

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place at Brock from Feb. 12 to 16.

All are open for the University community to attend.

Critical Sociology MA thesis defence

Critical Sociology student, Hannah Monroe, will defend the thesis, “By talking about it we can make it a positive thing: Autistic people negotiating identity and understanding in discursive contexts,” on Monday, Feb. 12 at noon in Welch Hall 147.

The examination committee includes Dawn Zinga, Chair; Hanna Bertilsdotter-Rosqvist, External Examiner (Umeå University, Sweden); Trent Newmeyer, supervisor; and Rebecca Raby and Danny Tarulli, committee members.

 

Biological Sciences MSc thesis defence

Biological Sciences student Lyndon Duff will defend his Master of Science thesis, “Reproductive behaviour of male Xylocopa virginica and the influence of body size, nestmates, and siblings on territory defense,” on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m. in Welch Hall 147.

The examination committee includes Cheryl McCormick, Chair; Rebecca MacPherson, External Examiner; Miriam Richards, Supervisor; Ping Liang and Adonis Skandalis, committee members.
