Students from Brock’s Goodman School of Business are holding a Krispy Kreme Doughnut Drive in support of the upcoming national 5 Days for the Homeless campaign, which raises awareness and funds for homelessness and at-risk youth.
The Goodman Business Students’ Association is a Goodman School of Business student club that organizes the University’s involvement in the campaign led by Canadian universities.
Until Thursday, March 1, anyone from the Brock community can pre-order a dozen fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts for $10. The doughnuts will be delivered to campus Monday, March 12 from noon to 3 p.m.
Students will collect orders and money at a table in Mackenzie Chown A Block hallway Tuesday, Feb. 27, Wednesday, Feb. 28 and Thursday, March 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 pm.
Orders can also be placed by emailing fourth-year business student Amy Rudnicki at 5days@goodmanbsa.com.
Faculty and staff have the option of pre-ordering and paying when the doughnuts arrive on March 1 and can sign up to have the doughnuts delivered directly to their offices.
Proceeds raised through the 5 Days for the Homeless campaign support Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.
A group of student volunteers will sleep outside on campus from March 11 to 16 to raise awareness and funds for the initiative.
