Critical Sociology MA thesis defences
Critical Sociology student Mark Omiecinski will defend the thesis, “A Preventative Intervention: Staff Experiences Providing Harm Reduction in the Niagara Region,” on Monday, Jan. 29 at 3 p.m. in WH 147.
The examination committee includes Dawn Zinga, Chair; Carol Strike, External Examiner (University of Toronto); Trent Newmeyer, Supervisor; and Johah Butovsky and Paula Gardner, Committee Members.
Critical Sociology student Alaina Interisano will defend the thesis, “It’s a Privilege:” A Critical Examination of University Students’ Perspectives of Animal Experimentation Pedagogy in Canada,” on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 11 a.m. in WH 147.

Master of Science thesis defence
Aditya Joshi, a candidate in the Centre for Biotechnology, will present his Master of Science thesis defence by video conference on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. in WH 147.
His thesis is titled “A systematic view on mobile elements’ contribution to human transcriptomes.”
His examination committee members are Dr. Michael Pisaric, Chair; Dr. Teresa Crease, External Examiner, (University of Guelph); Dr. Ping Liang, Supervisor; Drs. Charles Despres and Travis Dudding, Committee Members.
