For the seventh consecutive year, Brock has been selected to participate in the Esri Canada $1,000 Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Student Scholarship Program.
The scholarship will help support a Brock undergraduate or graduate student who is currently enrolled, dedicated and high achieving to continue their studies in GIS and consider it as a post-graduation career option. The scholarship also includes $50,000 in Esri software, books and training deliverables.
Brock University is one of a select group of Canadian universities and colleges that Esri Canada recognizes for its strong, multidisciplinary focus on GIS.
Students interested in applying can visit Brock’s GIS Day website for guidelines and more information. Deadline to apply is Monday, Nov. 6.
Students will be competing for the scholarship by presenting their proposals on GIS Day, Wednesday, Nov. 15.
GIS Day, hosted by the Map, Data and GIS Library and the Department of Geography and Tourism Studies, will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the MDG Library (Mackenzie Chown C-Block 306).
All are welcome to attend.
