At 8 a.m. on  Monday Sept. 18, a new corridor will enable people to access Schmon Tower elevators from both sides of the Tower lobby.

After three months of taking basement or rooftop detours to reach elevators that would get them to the upper Tower floors, pedestrians will again be able to reach the lobby-level elevators directly from either side of the Tower.

They will also be able to fully traverse the Tower lobby, between the Matheson Learning Commons to the west and, to the east, the Thistle vestibule/Tim Horton’s kiosk area near Mackenzie Chown Complex. This will be available during hours when the James A. Gibson Library is open.

The lobby washrooms will remain out of service while the Brock LINC construction project continues.
