Percussion performance taking place outside MIWSFPA

Using found materials and traditional instruments to create his music, Brock instructor Devon Fornelli will perform percussion improv outside the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The skilled percussionist will converse in real time with the city soundscape during the outdoor performance on the Lancaster, Brooks & Welch LLP Pathway, between the MIWSFPA and FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in downtown St. Catharines.

The free community event runs from 2 to 4 p.m. In the event of rain, the performance will be relocated to the school’s lobby.

Fornelli has extensive experience as a soloist, orchestral percussionist and chamber instrumentalist, showcasing his talent with a range of music from orchestral percussion to contemporary art. This is his third improv performance in the pathway beside the school.
