Goodman construction to cause temporary detour Saturday

Construction on the Goodman School of Business expansion project will mean a one-day detour on campus this Saturday.

On Sept. 9, pedestrian traffic from the bus shelters in front of Schmon Tower to Thistle complex north will be rerouted from its regular path.

Construction vehicles will be moving to and from the Goodman construction zone while work is underway to relocate a fire hydrant. This will result in traffic being redirected to east of Taro Hall or along University Rd. to Scotiabank Hall. Throughout the day, construction personnel will be directing outgoing and incoming traffic to ensure pedestrian safety.

One accessible ramp, at the end of Issac Brock Blvd. E. near the corner of the Goodman site, will be blocked off for the day. The ramp will again be accessible on Sunday, Sept. 10. An alternative accessible ramp is available to the east of the Tower in front of Brock’s Student-Alumni Centre.

Anyone with questions or concerns regarding this work can contact project manager Janet Muenzberger at x5017 or jmuenzberger@brocku.ca, or Lesley Owen at x5949 or lowen@brocku.ca
