Brock Media Clips for Friday, Sept. 21

Here’s a look at some of the media attention Brock University received recently.

Conservatives more resistant to vegan lifestyle, prof finds: The online publication Education News recently wrote about Gordon Hodson, a psychology professor at Brock University, who analyzed the results of a study of 1,313 current and former vegans and found that conservatives “were at significantly greater odds of having lapsed from a vegan diet to meat consumption.”

Thousands of students benefit from free tuition: The St. Catharines Standard covered the increase in free tuition being handed out to students in Niagara, including at Brock University.

Shaw Family Housing volunteers give back to Sumter community: The Sumter Item, a small newspaper in South Carolina, has written a story about the completion of a pair of Habitat for Humanity homes. Brock University staff and students volunteered their time to do the framing on the house during Alternative Reading Week earlier this year.
