Brock Media Clips for Tuesday, Aug. 29

Here’s a look at some of the media attention Brock University received recently.

Brock research explains how municipalities deal with extreme weather: The St. Catharines Standard and other Postmedia dailies in Niagara ran a story about Brock University researcher Cheryl Mallen’s work around the impact of climate change on municipalities.

Niagara’s first West Nile case confirmed: A week after Brock professor Fiona Hunter and PhD student Bryan Giordano had research published predicting a West Nile outbreak in Ontario, the St. Catharines Standard reported that the first human case of the disease in Niagara was confirmed.

Separately, the Stratford Beacon-Herald also reported that numerous West Nile-infected mosquito pools have been confirmed in Perth County.
