From June 27 to Sept. 15, Brock University will conduct a larviciding program under the authority of Niagara Region’s Medical Officer of Health to control larval mosquitoes in order to prevent their development into vectors of West Nile virus.
The larvicide (Mosquiron 0.12CRD – ingot formulation, PCP No. 31079), under the federal Pest Control Products Act, will be applied by direct hand application into catch basins at Brock University owned and leased properties within Niagara.
All larvicides will be applied by Ministry of the Environment licensed applicators.
