A sponsorship program at Brock University launching this fall will provide student-athletes with both mentorship and financial support.
The Brock Sports Mentorship Program will provide donors with the opportunity to become a part of students’ lives by acting as mentors throughout their time at the University. That connection could be as simple as supporting the athletes by cheering for them from the sidelines, or by providing advice and friendship when the task of trying to balance school and sport seems overwhelming.
The Brock Sports Mentorship Program is about connecting people in our community who have the drive, passion and vision to make our world a better place with our strong, determined and talented student-athletes.
“We want to extend the reach of our sponsors’ support and create an opportunity that will expose our student-athletes to different business environments that will expand and support their learning curve,” said Brock Sports Director Neil Lumsden.
“This program is a tremendous initiative that allow us to support our student-athletes with the financial resources they need while also providing them with an opportunity to develop citizenship and professional skills right from their first year,” said Jesse Barraza, Co-ordinator, Student-Athlete Services.
