Brock to host Smart Cities discussion

Smart phones. Smart watches. Smart cities.

What makes a city smart? How do we make Niagara a smarter community?

Niagara Centre Member of Parliament, Vance Badawey, and Brock’s Department of Geography and Tourism Studies, will host a round table discussion at Brock University Wednesday, March 29 to talk about what can be done to help Niagara municipalities become smart cities.

The event, at Pond Inlet from 2 to 4 p.m., is open to students, faculty, staff and the Niagara community to discuss things such as public/private partnerships, creating liveable communities, improving technology infrastructure, creating trade corridors and improving regional transit.
