Brock to mark Black History Month with on-campus events

With Black History Month kicking off Wednesday, Feb. 1, Brock University has a series of events planned.

Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures Associate ProfessorJean Ntakirutimana said it’s important to recognize African heritage at Brock and beyond.

“We have a tradition of being directly involved in the celebration African Heritage Month in collaboration with members of the larger community because our Institution has a social mission of promoting an inclusive education and more sensitivity to multiculturalism and multilingualism,” he said.
