Makus, a faculty member and former chair in the Department of Political Science, has been part of many University committees and served as Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research for FOSS. She also previously held the Interim Dean role for FOSS in 2013-14.

Makus’ academic expertise is in political theory, the politics of gender and reproduction, and diversity issues.

“I also want to express my profound gratitude to Angela Book and Diane Dupont, and all of the staff in the Dean’s Office, who have done double-duty for the last five weeks,” said Dunk. “Ingrid brings a depth of experience to the position and together with Angela and Diane, the faculty is in very good hands.”

“I also want to thank all Chairs and Directors for your kind patience during this period of transition.”
