Grad studies holding Virtual Open House

Deciding what to do after you complete your undergrad degree can be stressful for students.

Between balancing schoolwork, jobs and extracurricular activities, some students don’t have time to visit the universities where they are interested in continuing their studies at the graduate level.

To alleviate any undue stress on students, this year, the Faculty of Graduate Studies at Brock University is launching its first Virtual Open House on Nov. 15 to educate prospective students about the various graduate programs offered at Brock.

“The grad studies Virtual Open House is a great opportunity for students to connect directly with faculty and staff from their intended field of study,” said Jens Coorssen, Dean of Graduate Studies. “This allows students to gain a better understanding of each program without leaving the comfort of their home, dorm room or favourite coffee hideout.”

This free virtual event is available to students from across the world who are interested in learning more about Graduate Studies at Brock. This event will allow students to connect with admissions representatives and Faculty members from our Faculties ofApplied Health Sciences, Education, Humanities, Mathematics and Science, Social Sciences, and the Goodman School of Business.

“Students often ask us very specific questions about their program of interest, “ said Lauren Berwick, of the Graduate Recruitment Team. “We typically have to refer them directly to the appropriate Graduate Program Director, which can sometimes be a timely process but with the Virtual Open House, students are able to ask questions and get a same-day if not real-time response.”

Brock University’s Graduate Studies Virtual Open House is being held on Nov. 15 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. and 5 p.m – 8 p.m. Students can register for the Virtual Open House at www.careereco.com/events/BrockOpenHouse.
