PODCAST: Registration open for Young Entrepreneur Kick-Off Weekend


The Good Morning Goodman podcast continues with co-hosts Susan LeBlanc and Amanda Malkiewich announcing that registration is open for the Niagara Young Entrepreneur Kick-Off Weekend being held Nov. 4-6.

The event is co-hosted by BioLinc, Brock’s business incubator run by the Goodman School of Business, and Niagara College’s NC Takeoff program. Young entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to form a team and build and pitch an idea in a collaborative environment.

The Etiquette Dinner hosted by the Goodman Career Development Office and sponsored by CPA Ontario is being held tomorrow where Goodman students will learn the proper etiquette for dining in a professional setting. There are a few spots left and students can register in person today during Career Chats from 10 a.m. – 12 noon in the third floor hallway of Taro Hall. There is a $15 fee which includes a three course meal.

There is an information session this Friday, Oct. 28 from 1 – 3 p.m. about the Solidarity Experiences Abroad Entrepreneurship Trip to Ecuador. Organized by Brock’s Faith and Life Centre in partnership with the Goodman School of Business, this trip will give students an opportunity to facilitate workshops on the different aspects of entrepreneurship. This trip is happening from May 4-17, 2017 and costs just over $3,000. More details are on CareerZone.

Students interested in operations and supply chain management are encouraged to register for the How to Get a Job in Operations and Supply Chain event being hosted Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. by the Goodman Career Development Office. The event is part of the “How to Get a Job” series where students can network and learn from a panel of industry professionals.

All MBA students are invited to the next Goodman Alumni Network event which is happening Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. in Toronto. Breaking the Glass Ceiling: A conversation with women who are leading the way features a panel with this year’s Distinguished Leader recipient Martine Irman, and Goodman graduates Rhonda Klosler and Deborah Rosati.
