Flags to be lowered in honour of first-year student

The Brock community is mourning the loss of one of its students.

Corey Mijac, 18, was one of three young men killed in a tragic plane crash in Pennsylvania last week.

Mijac graduated from Governor Simcoe Secondary School in the spring and was a first-year Bachelor of Arts student in Geography here at Brock.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. at George Darte Funeral Home in St. Catharines. Out of respect for the family, the flags at Brock will be lowered to half mast at that time.

The University would like to express its condolences to the Mijac family, as well as the families of 19-year-old Ben Jeffries and 25-year-old Rifat Tawfig, the two other Niagara men who died in the crash Sunday night.
