Construction begins on Goodman School of Business building

Construction activity has begun outside Taro Hall, marking the start of the $22-million Goodman School of Business expansion project set to take place over the next two years.

Last week, Cooper Construction began preparing the site by installing hoarding around the perimeter of the building and a temporary sidewalk to reroute east-west pedestrian traffic next to Isaac’s Bar and Grill.

The space between Taro Hall and the Student Alumni Centre has been transformed into a gravel area that will serve as a construction prep site throughout the renovations.

The Board of Trustee’s Executive Committee accepted the tendered bids for the first leg of construction Wednesday, paving the way to start what will be an exciting two-year journey for Brock’s business school.

To kick off the project, a Start-of-Construction Ceremony will take place Friday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. in a large temporary tent in front of the Maj.-Gen. Sir Isaac Brock statue.

More construction photos and updates will be posted on the Goodman Expansion website.
