Big crowd expected for Brock Homecoming weekend

Homecoming weekend is almost here and more than 500 Brock University alumni are expected to attend the festivities being held on and off campus Sept. 16-18.

There is still time to register and celebrate an incredible weekend with fellow alumni at the much-anticipated Red Dinner, the Alumni Recognition Reception and Class Reunions.

Homecoming is one of the biggest weekend events at the University, featuring everything from reunions and athletic events to entertainment and themed celebrations.

Badger pride will be on full display throughout the weekend as grads join students and fans at the Alumni Turf Field for a variety of varsity athletics throughout the weekend.

To kick off the weekend, Brock’s Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts Centre is hosting the first-ever, all-ages Homecoming Tailgate Party starting at 4 p.m. featuring a beer tent, BBQ, music and family-friendly events.

That evening, the Brock Badgers men’s hockey team will make history by playing their first game at the Meridian Centre, facing-off against the Guelph Gryphons in the annual Steel Blade Classic.

During the Alumni Recognition Reception on Saturday, Sept. 17, Brock will toast all the new cameo pin recipients.

The following distinguished alumni and faculty graduate award recipients will be honoured during the reception:
