A message to Brock faculty and staff

The following is a message from John Suk, Chair, Brock University Board of Trustees:

As we head into the final weekend of summer, our campus will come to life as thousands of students arrive at Brock for what promises to be a rich and fulfilling fall term.

As most of you will know, the Board of Trustees are unfortunately again in the position of finding the right person to become Brock University’s next President and Vice-Chancellor. The Board is currently consulting with Senate and other interested parties across campus about the presidential search that awaits us, and we will genuinely consider all input as we prepare to move forward with decisions on our process.

In the meantime, rest assured that Brock University continues to have an experienced and skilled senior leadership team in place. This week the Board of Trustees extended the appointment of Brian Hutchings as Interim President until Sept. 7, at which time they will meet to determine the interim presidency, as well as a search process for our next President.

In the coming months, we will provide the Brock community with regular updates about our progress.

I truly believe Brock is one of the best universities in Canada. With our award-winning scholars, world-class facilities and committed support staff, all set in a beautiful campus, Brock students enjoy many advantages that not only make for a great university experience here in Niagara, but also the experience needed to prepare them for successful and fulfilling lives after they graduate.

We are all looking forward to another exceptional fall term here at Brock. Enjoy the weekend!

Sincerely,

John Suk

Chair, Brock University Board of Trustees
